Bryttney Huseas, LAMFT

I create a very safe place for my clients to receive compassionate support and guidance. Unburdening negative sexual scripts and painful stories will ultimately enliven and liberate your sexuality, allowing you to express your authentic self much beyond “the bedroom”. Sexual healing creates an embodied contentment or a feeling of being “at home” in your body. As you heal, your sexuality becomes self-empowered and more expansive with creative expression, enriching the intimacy you experience within yourself and with others.

I encourage my clients to bring heart-felt compassion and integrity to themselves and their partners.  I believe that as we gain awareness and acceptance of all parts of ourselves, we experience more confidence, fulfillment, and clarity in our lives. This deep acceptance fuels a spiritual experience of love.

Often past and present hurts block us from true intimacy and connection with those we love. Unresolved, past hurts create protective mechanisms along with dark, shadowy places within us that hold onto shame and emotional pain. With great care, I confidently walk beside my clients, exploring and healing these tender places inside with compassion and courage. We have much to learn from past adverse life experiences, including how they paint our present reality. As we recover once shadowed, exiled parts of us, we experience more joy and peace inside.

While in session, you can expect to connect with your mind and body, explore your inner world with guided imagery, map out your relational dynamics, and learn new ways of communicating from an open-hearted place. You will identify and change reactive patterns in your relationship that block intimacy and make communication difficult. The therapy process is all about discovering what is prohibiting you from living the life you desire, then making changes.

In my work, I incorporate a variety of research-based therapeutic models and modalities including Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Experiential Exercises, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy  (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) as well as Intimacy From The Inside Out (IFIO) and Psycho-education. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, shame, grief, relational issues, and sexual challenges including: mismatched desire, low or absent desire, premature or early ejaculation, vaginismus, inability to achieve orgasm, and sexual trauma. I also enjoy working with clients going through a faith transition.
